The Hume Center Welcomes New Affiliated Faculty

The Hume Center is proud to announce the addition of five new affiliated faculty from the Pamplin College of Business and the College of Engineering.

  • France Belanger is a professor of accounting and information systems in the Pamplin College of Business. Her research interests include digital interactions between individuals, businesses, and governments and the related privacy & security issues
  • Ali Butt is a professor of computer science in the College of Engineering. His research interests include distributed computing systems, cloud computing, file and storage systems, Internet of Things, I/O systems, and operating systems.
  • Kurt Luther is an assistant professor of computer science in the College of Engineering. His research interests include social computing, crowdsourcing, human-computer interaction, and creativity support tools.
  • Alejandro Salado is an assistant professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering in the College of Engineering. His research interests include systems engineering, problem formulation, systems science, systems theory, and elegant architectures.
  • Patrick Schaumont is a professor of electrical and computer engineering in the College of Engineering. His research interests include embedded systems, embedded security, hardware security, and hardware/software co-design.
