Virginia Tech is proud to offer students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with simulation tools used in the Department of Defense and Aerospace industry. Join us this Fall to learn how to leverage AFSIM to tackle mission-critical problems and deliver real solutions!
Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) is a powerful, restricted-access, mission-level simulation environment for analyzing air, space, and cyber operations. AFSIM is used among government labs, defense companies, and researchers.
You’ll learn with 5 other students to achieve the following objectives:
- Learn the fundamentals of AFSIM scenario design and mission modeling
- Build and run your own mission simulations
- Explore how AFSIM models platforms, sensors, and decision logic
- Deliver a working scenario project by the end of the course
1. Make a Real Impact: By the end of the course, you will develop a project to solve a real world scenario
2. Build Your Network: Be a part of the community of researchers, government analysts, and DoD leaders that utilize AFSIM in their day-to-day
3. Boost Your Resume: Stand out with hands-on experience with a rare and powerful tool to solve the problems of today
