National Military Intelligence Foundation Merit Scholarship

About the National Military Intelligence Foundation

The National Military Intelligence Foundation (NMIF) was organized to advance public awareness of the roles and contributions intelligence professionals make to society, military intelligence organizations, disciplines, and enhancements in analytical methods, and techniques. The National Military Intelligence Foundation (NMIF) is dedicated to inspiring new generations of intelligence professionals, recognizing the success of current intelligence professionals, and sustaining the intelligence workforce needed to ensure the overall capability of the military intelligence function to support the national security of the United States of America.

About the Scholarship

NMIF Scholarships are extremely competitive and only presented to the most outstanding rising intelligence professionals.

NMIF was able to provide $37,000 in 2018 and $25,000 in 2020, to individuals enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs aligned with intelligence and national security programs. Students in over 45 universities are invited to apply for NMIF scholarships. These scholarships are typically awarded in increments of $1,000 to $5,000.

The awards for this year’s scholarship will be dependent on the donations received throughout the year.  In addition to providing a grant to academic institutions to be applied to the winning applicants’ tuition, each award will be accompanied by an invitation to attend the NMIF Awards Banquet to be held each spring.

Students are awarded at our National Intelligence Awards Banquet, a formal affair that allows attendees to interact with Intelligence Community (IC) seniors and officials, award and scholarship winners, and others supporting the IC as we celebrate the success of past, present, and future generations of intelligence professionals.

Donations can be made to the scholarship program, to support the Awards Banquet, or to NMIF, in general, to support all of its programs.
