About the Event

The presentation will cover the integrated circuit design capabilities brought together strategically across our Electronics Sector at BAE Systems to form the Microelectronics Center.  We will share a variety of works and applications that our microelectronics products support.

About the Speaker

Pirkl supports the Electronics Systems Microelectronics Center in the role of ASIC Engineering Manager located out of the Manassas, VA BAE Systems facility (but remotely since the pandemic).  He has worked in a variety of roles supporting the Space Systems product line like Integrated Circuit Designer, ASIC Product Engineer, and Circuit Card Designer.  Beyond technical roles, Danny has also jumped into opportunities to support and lead others  with positions as the Manassas Deputy Site Executive and Facilitator to Business Area Engineering Director.  Danny is passionate about many areas of electrical and hardware engineering including signal integrity, integrated circuit design, and controls systems.  He is also interested in developing people and teams, and advancing human access and operating capability in outer space.  Danny has worked full time at BAE Systems since 2005 after completing his graduate studies at Virginia Tech with a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and focus in VLSI and Control Systems.
