About the Event
One of the four key pillars of the DC Engineering Strategy is the importance of establishing Microsoft as the top destination in the region for technical talent. Virginia Tech is a premiere location to source that talent, with some of the strongest members of the cyber workforce matriculating from the university. However, one of the key comments made by students with interest in Microsoft as a potential career path, is they are more familiar with the Redmond-Seattle culture and work than what Microsoft does locally in the DC Metro area. With that in mind, four current Microsoft employees, Jonathan Eskew, Rebecca Wood, Piali Ghose, and Logan Sammons, will speak with Hume Center students about the unique work they do in this region and pathways to careers at Microsoft in our area.
