What to Expect
Application Process
As an interested student, you will apply to the Innovation Projects through The Hume Center for National Security and Technology at the beginning of the Fall semester. Hit the "Apply Here" button to start your application.
Make sure to advocate for yourself, your capabilities, and your passions during the application process. If selected, you will be placed on a multi-disciplinary team for the respective project.
By clicking the apply button below, you will be taken to the Hume Center Research Open House event page. Please register for the event and you will then be emailed a form to apply to the various research projects.

Do you have to be a U.S. citizen to participate in the Innovation Projects?
- Yes, you do have to be a U.S. citizen.
Do you have to be a DCTC Scholar to participate?
- No, all students are encouraged to participate.
Are the Innovation Projects year long projects?
- Yes, the projects will run from the fall semester into the spring semester. The projects will be presented at the annual Hume Center Colloquium at the end of the spring semester.
Will I get paid for participating?
Yes, participants of the Innovation Projects will receive financial compensation.
