Academic Symposium on Cybersecurity, Emerging Networks, and Technologies (ASCENT)
Academic Symposium on Cybersecurity, Emerging Networks, and Technologies (ASCENT) is a collaborative effort between higher-education institutions dedicated to advancing Cybersecurity research and to developing prolonged research opportunities to undergraduate students. Virginia Tech, in collaboration with Norwich University, University of North Georgia, Texas A&M University, The Citadel, and Virginia Military Institute, invites contributions from undergraduate students at those schools participating in the following categories (included but not limited to):
- Digital Forensics
- Cyber Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Information Assurance
- Cyber Operations
- Ethical Hacking
- Cyber Risk / Policy & Governance
- Wireless / Network Security
- Cyber-Physical Systems
- Data Analytics
- Information Warfare
- Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT)
Submissions must be approved by the Director (or their designee) from each of the School’s Cyber Institutes prior to submission.
