About the Speaker
Andrew Bibbins
Special Agent, Diplomatic Security Service
A Navy veteran and Alumnus of Blacksburg High School and Virginia Tech, BA History 2010, Andrew has been working for the State Department since a Spring 2012 internship with the Regional Security Office at the U.S. Embassy Athens. Andrew completed an additional internship with the State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), before he was hired into Civil Service Investigative Analyst positions, serving as a liaison at the National Joint Terrorism Task Force and National Counterterrorism Center, and conducting visa and passport fraud investigations at the DSS Miami Field Office. Andrew became a Special Agent in 2021 and has since conducted security operations in eight countries for the U.S. Secretary of State, served temporarily at U.S. Embassy Kyiv in late 2022. Andrew is currently on a domestic protective detail for the Saudia Arabian Ambassador to the United States.
