About the Event

An intimate and interactive conversation with Middleland Capital’s VTC Ventures, a diversified $84m venture capital fund with multiple aerospace & defense investments within the Virginia Tech & Carilion ecosystem, including DeepSig, Dive Technologies, AstraNav, and PlanetIQ. We will discuss the basics of company creation within and adjacent to academic settings, the characteristics of what venture capitalists are looking for in a company / idea, when, how (and whether) to raise private capital, and best practices for aspiring entrepreneurs.

We will also answer any questions you may have about the startup ecosystem, the fundraising process, and the benefits and challenges of launching your own venture.
