Hibbard & O’Looney will share their experience entering industry as Virginia Tech graduates and how that has translated to their executive roles at an agile aerospace and defense product company. Both will provide their thoughts on how diverse academic skills can directly translate from curriculum to job responsibilities and career growth. Join us for an engaged discussion around these topics and how it applies as students lay out their career paths.
About the Speakers
Dan Hibbard, Vice President, Space Electronic Systems for Trident Systems Inc. and Jimmy O’Looney, Vice President, Integrated C4I Systems for Trident Systems Inc.
As Business Unit Vice Presidents for Trident Systems Inc., Hibbard and O’Looney are responsible for overall strategy and direction, profit & loss, engineering oversight, and business development for a modern aerospace and defense solutions company. With over 20 years of experience each, Hibbard and O’Looney possess strong executive leadership skills, balanced with deep technical backgrounds, to bring cutting edge product solutions to their clients and customers. Hibbard holds a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and O’Looney holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
