About the Event

The 12th annual Hume Center Colloquium, sponsored through our Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence (IC CAE) program, will be full of exciting and novel presentations from Hume Center students.  The students presenting at the Colloquium will come from numerous departments and colleges across Virginia Tech, and will showcase our students' continued endeavors to become the next generation of national security leaders.

The colloquium will highlight the research and experiential learning programs being conducted by our graduate and undergraduate students over this past academic year. Presentations and posters will cover topics on artificial intelligence and machine learning, cybersecurity, autonomy, secure communications, and other emerging technologies important to the intelligence and defense communities.

In addition to highlighting the achievements of our outstanding students, we are honored to host Dr. Aaron Weiner, Director of Advanced Systems and Technology, at The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) for a fireside chat during our keynote.

As the Hume Center and the VT National Security Institute continue to foster cutting edge education and research for the leaders of tomorrow, we look forward to you joining us for a day of invigorating presentations, discussions, and speakers on April 9, 2025.
